I have an old OS MAX 10 FP. New fuel tank and lines. It is mounted on workbench. I cannot start it with the muffler, no matter what needle vavle setting I use. Once muffler is removed, it starts and runs fine with manufacturer suggested needle setting. Any suggestions or tips? thanks

Chances are the muffler pressure fitting is blocked with either carbon or old gunked oil and this is stopping fuel from flowing out of the tank. Obviously you don't need muffler pressure for it to run so give it a try with the muffler fitted but the pressure line not connected. The muffler itself can have no affect on whether the engine runs or not although I'd have a look to make sure there's nothing blocking the outlet.
