My $.02,
Guys, there really is no stick time that is "bad" stick time is there? After all flying model aircraft is like anything else, any practice is good practice. It's all eye to hand coordination, more you do the better you get. I started to fly my trainer just over a year ago and got about 6 flights in before winter set in here. I then bought a GP G2 flight simulator to fly over the winter on the computer. When I wnet back to the trainer this spring I was 99% better at flying then in the fall. So, like I said ANY stick time is good stick time, even if it's simulated. Professional pilots and military pilots spend hours in sims "honing their skills" and to get more stick time. I am building a spad3dt right now and can't wait to get to the field to try it out to get more "stick time." My CAP 232 will have to wait for it's maiden flight until spring or even sumer 04 after I've doinked my spad 3dt several times.

td350,

Most hand eye coordination practice is good but I have honestly found that consecutively flying the qhor and spad3d messes with my precision 3D work. I have found that after I fly the spads for a while my rolling circles arnt as clean and neither are my rolling cuban 8's. Besides flying any kind of 3D model for a long time will get you rusty if you jump on a scale like aerobatic bird. But its all about having fun and you can always fly a few times to adjust.

I usually spend an hour a day on the sim. and I try to fly 2-3 times a week.
