Never flown the Quickie. It's been so long ago, the only thing I remember about building it is "What a completly absurd way to build a wing". It has a wing loading of over twice that of any of my other 1/2A's. I was thinking about redesigning it but never got around to it.

Here's my good old 1/2A-SST, built from plans from an old Global kit. I have built several 1/2A-SST's and just keep on loving this model. Other models come and go (crash..) but i always keep a 1/2A-SST flight ready. My first 1/2A-SST was powered by a Cox Queen Bee, to slow, then OS.10FP, to slow, now OS.15LA, spinning a APC 7x6 on 20%nitro, fast enough for me!

Here is my Simple Series AT-6. Fun to build and a blast to fly. I have a P-51 and a ME-109 Simple Series in boxes and ready to go.

Always loved the 1/2 A free flight stuff as a kid. Here's a picture of Roy L. Clough, Jr's Hoopskirt .020 cox powered model that I built in 1976 and re-named "Bicentennial Hoopskirt". Lasting memory as she rocked side to side gaining altitude.

Oh man! One of my favorites planes has to be the Ace simple series T-6!!! I think it is the best looking out of the simple series- although the corsair runs a close second in my opinion. I need to get off my butt and finish the wing to complete mine! Also, I am having trouble deciding what color to cover mine in, and whether i want to make a built-up wing, or just use the foam wing (and if I use the foam, do I want to sheet it or not!) Decisions decisions.. The yellow you've covered yours in is what I'm leaning towards.. But, I have so many yellow planes already! In fact, all of my current fleet is yellow! Oh well, what's one more..

Jason

Hey guys, I always hear of people building these Simple Series planes, but I can never find any. Where do you pick them up? I like the looks of them, but I don't know where to get them.

I picked mine up off ebay. I did have to repair what someone had started but everything was there. It is risky when you are purchaseing blind. I was at a website that had them for sale at $49.99 not too long ago. I will see if I can find the site.

The ground ran into my AT-6 last night, but I think I can rebuild her.
