Beautiful craftsmanship LR. I love the spinner. Where did you get it?

My son took this of my Rivets at the reedie race a few weeks ago. I think it is one of my favorite pics of any of my models yet. I seems to capture the spirit of the model and day togeather.

Thanks Dave....
thats the Brodak 1 1/4" that I bought for an RMS Pinto that I'm going to build after the deweybirds. I needed to moddify it to suit the 5-40 thread the cox engines use.

Is Brodak selling that spinner for 1/2A engines? It looks big enough to wear out a crankcase pretty quick.

I assume so...

It's actually quite petite, I've seen plenty of plastic spinners that weigh more, I would estimate its weight at 5-10 grams. I started the BW with that spinner and a 6x3 cox grey running 15% nitro and it was turning @ 13500 RPM no problems, which considering the conditions today is not to shabby at all... about 30 deg C, 65% humidity, and 997 hPa

hkbii, that is a terrific looking airplane and the covering is pretty nice, too!

CP, I've run the 1.5" plastic spinners on my reedies for a while now without any effect at all and those are some heavy buggers. Getting them to run true can be a real trick sometimes, though.

After trying to make an ACE plastic spinner work with a TD........... it was like trying to saddle up a wild horse.

My Airtronics Q-Tee. First 1/2a plane in 25 years.
NOS Black Widow, Kavan Tank extender. Not enough power to get out of its own way... A Norvel .061 will soon fix that.

hehe... I can understand that, the brodak spinners balance and trueness are spot-on, but we will see how it hold up after a crackup or two

Here are a couple that I just finished , I am working on 2 more. They are not fancy but they fly real nice and are a lot of fun. Plus they only took a few hours from scratch
