I have a tmax and what to upgrade to either a fantom .18 or do a .21 conversion.
Which will give the most over all torque and speed?

I posted abt this recently asking abt the Fantom vs - Sirio. I am upgrading the truck to handle any power - but don't want to change the chassis itself.

Everyone posted back saying there is going to be a driect drop in from Picco come this Dec. I am trying to find out how true this is and where to find more about it. If it is direct drop in that is what my wife wants for her maxx... She loves the EZ start. If not then I would go with the Fantom.

Will the fantom 18 give my tmax a lot more power compared to the 2.5? Will the fantom 18 make it pop wheels because my 2.5 wont and i have a Sirio Big Bore pipe and new aluminum clutch shoes.

If i get the fantom 18 can i use the flywheel and clutch bell from my 2.5?

The Fantom 18 is direct drop in. Yes it will give it power out the butt.... Everyone that posts about it, loves the motor and says they can not keep the wheels on the ground.

The stock clutch bell is a 20t bell. If wheelies are what you want, try going to a 16t bell first if over all you are happy with the truck the way it is.... I am ordering one from towerhobbies to see if that will satisfy my wife's needs for the wheelies until the Picco comes out and see some write ups on it...

If i got the fantom 18 will i have to upgrade the drive line or diffs? Will the 2.5 flywheel, cone, and flywheel nut fit on the fantom 18?

I was told - that the existing driveline ca not handle the power. I would drop it in and wait till something breaks first.

a .21 will have more torque just because its bigger. I would definatley go with the big block if you can afford it. A .21 is just standard, you can always use a bigger motor. You wont HAVE to make the diffs stronger, they just wont last as long as with the 2.5, which is probably pretty long. Just upgrade as things wear out.
