I have one also. I saw it at Toledo and knew I had to have one. I don't normally own/fly ARFs but when they get this good I begin to wonder "why spend the time to build a kit?". Mine will be powered with an OS 1.20 Surpass II.

Well, My lovely wife did it. It`s my b-day today, and I was presented with a nice box with a H9 P-51 inside!! What a plane!
I just have one problem. I am having a blast with my Ultra Stick 60
with the Saito 100. My Saito 80 is in the GP Dr-1, flys great, and
my Saito 90 is in a Adrain Page Gee Bee R2, both engine and plane are brand new, and the palne is 99% done. The only spare engine I have, is a Magnum 2-cycle .90, and has a Jett muffler. So, my thinking is to take the 100 off the US 60, put it in the Mustang, and put the Magnum 90 onto the US 60. Or, take the Saito 90 out of the Gee Bee, and put it into the Mustang.
Then the Maqnum will go into the Gee Bee......And, even though I have thought it, buying another engine will definetley be bad for my health! Just thought I would share my lovely quandry with the people that really understand, my fellow RCers! Oh, if you have any suggestions as to my engine swapping ordeal, please fire away!

Kerry

ps. off topic, but I was allowed to get insurance for me motorbike.
truly a memorable weekend!

I am building my wing and the dihedral is over 7", not the 6 1/4 like the book says. Any of you guys have this also?

Superdav yes mine was close to 7" but with a little sanding it was fine the wing halves still mated perfectly. I have a question for you guys on the rudder and elevator servos. Are they both supposed to be mounted with the servo arm closer to the tail. I can't tell from the pictures in the instructions but the rudder servo looks like it is suppose to mount with the arm closer to the nose. Also one of the push rods is longer so that seems to confirm this. PLease let me know.

I always mount the control arm closest to the control surface - it makes for a shorter linkage which is always better. Did it on mine and it seems to work fine.

Also - if you go the Horizon site and look at the P-51 page, and scroll down you will see a good pic of the rudder hook-up.

I am hoping to fly my mustang this weekend if I can get all my servos in and hooked up. I am running a pull pull on my rudder to help with the scale tail wheel as it it pull pull as well. I am a little slower now that my Brison 5.8 tried to take my hand off, it only broke 1 finger. I will keep everyone posted on my bird and for those who want more info on the scale tail wheel location please feel free to email me.

After flying mine with a Saito 100, I sure am glad I sealed the tank at the firewall....the 'breather' shoots a ton of fuel right at the firewall!

Put a peice of fuel line on the breather and route it down and out of the engine compartment.

I did that on two other Saito engines and it messed up their fine running abilities! Haven't tried it yet with the 100.....

Jerry, use the largest tubeing that you can get to stay on the nipple and the shortest length that will get it outside. I have even stuck a piece of hard tubing cut a an angle to try and give it a little negative pressure when it needs to be 6" or longer.
