I tried about an hour today to start my engine without success. It would start but would die in about 4-7 seconds on its own. Also it would die if I tried to increase the throttle by hand. It only has about 6 tanks of nitro through it and the last time it ran it was the same temperature and it ran perfectly. I did install a fuel filter also I changed the fuel line and the line from the exhaust to the fuel cell before trying today. Nitro is good I know because it's only about a week and a half old. I'm going to try a new glow plug and a new battery in my glow starter tonight. I tried to push the glow plug into my starter to see if it glowed but nothing happened. Same results when I tried it on a few other brand new glow plugs. Does it have to be dark to see it glowing? I'm very frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you start it yet??

The glow plug should glow a bright orange, and yes change the glow plug.

I have found that these smaller motor running a bit rich eat glow plugs.

NITRO?
DID YOU WRITE NITRO?

I hope you are just mistaking the mostly methanol and Castor/synthetic oil based fuel, for the 5-15% nitro it contains!

Providing you are using model glow fuel in your engine, if when opening the throttle the engine quits, it is usually because it is not getting enough fuel.

It could be the filter you are using is too restrictive.
I never run a fuel filter on the engine. It hampers engine operation.

I use two filters in my field box tank; one at the pickup and one at the nozzle. If no junk reaches the fuel tank, no junk will reach the carburettor either.

Try opening the main needle further and see if it changes something.
