We've just released two new kits. The Bantam and Bantam Bipe.

The SR Bantam design is really two different aircraft. The "Bantam" is a sporty monoplane while the "Bantam Bipe" is a majestic biplane. Both were designed around the popular GWS/MPI power system that is used in the GWS Tiger Moth, Cub, and Pico Stick. If you've busted up one of the GWS airplanes, you can move the power and radio systems right over to either of our two new kits. If you don't have these systems, we'll be glad to supply them.

Both kits are wonderful flyers. The airfoil used in our X250 and Cutie kits gives both Bantams superb flight characteristics. Both are very docile and both are great for indoor and outdoor flying. Although you can't consider an 8 oz. aircraft a good windy day flyer, the Bantam in particular can handle a little breeze. Unlike the "foam tray" designs that flutter and self-destruct when you pick up the speed, both Bantams have a very broad speed range.

As you'll be able to see from the photos at the bottom of the Bantam section of our web site, the Bantam and Bantam Bipe are both great for indoor flying. They have been extensively flight tested in a 75' x 90' single basketball court and the Bantam Bipe in particular is great for this kind of flying because of its lower wing loading.

As is typical of an SR kit, the Bantam kits are very complete. They include the best wood you've ever seen, GWS 1 7/8" wheels, pushrods, control horns, window graphic material, computer cut wing graphic, and much, much more. There's even a 40 page instruction manual and a newly revised copy of R/C Techniques Volume R-13 on covering techniques.

Here's a link that will take you right to the Bantam section of our site. While you're there, be sure to take a look at the PDF file of the first half of the Bantam instruction manual and all of the photos at the bottom of the page...
