I have a Saito 180 with a 24 oz fuel tank. I currently have a Slimline fuel pump that takes FOREVER to fill up the tank. What is the fastest and best built electric fuel pump?

Hey Mike... Looking for the "best" pump also. Don't you like your Slimline? I was looking at the Slimline Boxxer. More than double the price than Hobbico, Magnum (Hobby People), etc. Is it worth the extra cash?

I know I'm going to get trashed by someone for saying this but, for the last 5 years I've used a windsheild washer fluid pump for my glow fuel. Has never failed me and I think I gave 10 bucks for it at autozone. Pumps like crazy and if I dont attach the line to the tank fully, blows it clean of the brass tubing, HEHE I love it. Piper

Hobby-Lobby sells a Kavan brass geared pump that is high quality, don't know if it is fast though.

Mr. Pipercub

That sounds like a great idea. No problem with the nito eating away at the pump?

Has anyone tried the Sig Gas Passer? Is it fast? Also, is there any type of hose that will withstand both nitro fuels and gasoline that can be used with it?

He's right about the windshield wiper pump!! It's 10 bucks and will last you forever and pumps fast!!

I've used it for pumping smoke oil as well. I have not tried unleaded, but I suspect it would work in that application as well!!

The entire electric pump for glo idea started with Ford windshield washer pumps so I don't see why they wouldn't work with the new designs.

My original began to leak after a lousy 25 years------you'd think they would make them a little better

Up in the north during winter all windsheild washer fluid has a great amount of alcohol to keep it from freezing. A washer pump would be perfect for glow fuel. Castor and synthetic oil are non petrolium based. But gas and some oils may attack seals.........
