Hello,
I have an original top flite curtiss p-40 stunter and was wondering if anyone knew how much it is worth or could give me any info on it. It's not put together.
Thanks for any info.
Karen

Karen,

Placing value, even approximately, for an unseen item is difficult at best. Too many factors are involved, What is the kit's condition? Is it it complete? How rare is it? And so on.................................That said, however, I will say that this is one of the items I've tried to track sales for at eBay over the last four years. Of the ten I've seen sell there since 10-11-99 through today, the low high bid was $45.00 and the high was $154.50. Both of these auctions occurred within the last six months. While the price has not increased at a constant rate over that time, the late average has been between $85.00 and $90.00. I hope this is helpful as a starting point.

If you wish to sell it, a good way to do that is post it in the RCU "for sale" section. That section works better, and the forums are for trading information.

Did anyone besides me notice how old the original 3 posts to this thread are? And that Karen, the one with the kit only posted one single post, never again to return to this site under this username?

Are we still hoping she has the kit and is keeping track of this thread?

Robert

Heh! Done this myself a time or two! Got all excited by the thread and turns out it was well put out to pasture.

As soon as I saw Old Sourdough's response it hit me that this thread was somewhat dated. Unfortunately Old Sourdough left us for that big flying circle in the sky some time ago.
