Can anyone tell me anything good or bad about the Carden 35% Cap, the old version with the wings that go into the fuse? Are the new runs better or worse? Are the control surfaces enough for 3d? I ask because was looking at the one for sale in the classifieds thats yellow and gold.

I can tell you that as far as the flight characteristics, there is nothing different......The only difference is in the way the wings fit the fuse, which can be a pain and the fact that it DOES NOT HAVE REMOVABLE STABS......The removable stabs bit is not that big of a deal and neither is the wing saddles.....It's just a matter of preference as to whether or not you want all the goodies from the updated kit.....

YOU CAN PURCHASE THE REMOVABLE STAB KIT FROM DENNIS

If you get the plane and the stab kit, you may as well just order a new kit from CARDEN

Thanks for the info, I was looking at the one for sale on here, price looks pretty good. How does the 35% cap 3D? are the elevators big enough?

The control surfaces can be cut as big as you like them. They are foam cores that once you sheet them, you can either follow the plan or cut bigger surfaces......The plan will allow for 3D, but some like them bigger.....

I know which one you are looking at, but I thinkit is a bit pricey for the old version
