i wish i had the money to buy a monster truck and a buggy. i want ot buy a savage and the violator but i don't have enough money. which one would be better to start with? the savage ss or the violator? i think the ss would be better so start with because it doesn't come assembled so i can learn from it or is it the other way around. should i get something already built so i can learn how to fix things and general nitro rc knowleadge and then build a kit, this way it will be easier to build the kit. iether weay i will get both of them.

Personally, I would recomend that anyone getting into nitro start with a RTR. The gratification is instant and you see how a kit is supposed to be built. With an RTR, you can learn about the buggy at your own pace and still enjoy playing. I really like the buggies because of the way I like to drive. I simply cant do the things I like to do with a Savage or T-maxx. If I were to try and do what I do with a MT, it would probably break every other jump. I like the MT's for big rough terrain but for full power flat out excitement, nothing beats a buggy.

The radio that comes with it is pretty standard for an RTR but it's enough to get you bashing and having fun. If you want to be able to dial in all your settings, you will need to upgrade at some point. But to get started, they get the job done. Also, a hi torque servo is one of the upgrades that makes all the difference in the world when it comes to performance. A hitech 645MG will run you 39.00 from servocity.com.

RC the radio is the same one that Duratrax passes off from Futaba! I called Ofna and they though that I had a Airtronics like all the rest of the line. No end points and not very good battery indicator light! It just has servo reversing and trim for throttle and steering. sterring.

I have been using it all day. Yes you can use it but I'm sure there are about 100 better transmitters for you to use.
