MY FIRS CAR WAS 1/6 FG BEATLE. AND EVERY TIME I STARTED THE ENGINE IT SEEMS LIKE IT HAD AN EFFECT ON MY RECEIVER BECASE THE CAR JUST WENT CRAZY.I PUT A FAIL SAFE AND IT HELPED BUT ONLY WHEN THE CAR WAS ABOUT 30 FEET OR LESS.
NOW A HAVE A BERGONZONI BRAVE WITH FAIL SAFE AND HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

DOES THIS TYPE OF ENGINE HAS AN EFFECT ON THE RECEIVER?

DO I NEED A BETTER BATTERY PACK?

HELP ** PLEASE**

Where, and how do you have the receiver mounted?
What kind of radio is it? From what i've heard AM radios get alot of interference from these motors so a FM or PCM radio is recommended. I'm using an airtronics MX3 FM radio system without any problems.
I have my receiver wrapped in a balloon (for waterproofing) on a piece of foam rubber for shock vibration. A reciever that is mounted directly on a solid surface in a gas car can get glitchy. You also need to make sure your antenna isnt rubbing on anything metal which could also cause glitches.
If you are using a good radio system, and have everything mounted right then i'd say that either there is something wrong with the radio system itself or you could possibly have a bad set of crystals. I've known more than a few people who have had bad crystals, or crystals with a frequency that get interference/glitching from something locally.
Hope that helps
Mike
