i have gone threw 7 or 8 different sizes and material but the best is fan fold foam and same size as the gass one (24x24)
a gws 350 with d gearing. a gws 12x6 prop
15 esc.
2 cell lipo or 8 or 9 cell aaa nimd

Have built many out of blue fanfold, depron, pealed foam board, etc. A GWS IPS motor and two or three lipoly's along with a piece of foam about 16" or 18" seems to be a good size. Building them with a airplane profile body works well as well. Add a rudder if you want to do any hovering.
