Status: offline 		Great Flyer. Mine has a BME50CC. Came out 17 lbs with 1lb on the nose. The linkage on the elevator is pretty difficult to put in

Status: offline 		Mine has the recommended OS 160 for power and required 2 pounds of weight. It flies great and I really like it but it does have some problems. The retracts are the pits and the hold down plates and blocks are glued in with hot glue. I replaced the entire mess with Robart air and the hold down plate and blocks and glued in with epoxy. The contraption for the elevator is terrible, throw in the trash and use two carbon fiber push rods from 2 servos. Keep all weight as close to the front as possible. You can get a realistic pilot from Hanger 9 and paint it. The one that comes with the kit is a joke. If you use air retracts, you don't have to cut the hole in the TOP of the wing which IMHO is bad.The tires that come with the plane are very hard, replace them with good tires. Replaced the motor mount that the 160 fit. Replaced the decals with vinyl and that look a lot better.

Status: offline 		Powered mine with BME 2.7 (44cc) 19x10 menz ultra. 1-3/4 lb nose weight. Servos in tail (mistake!). Great flyer! Will put in Spring Airs and struts this winter. Did a lot of weathering and rivets with paint detail. Makes big difference on looks. Have been asked if it is a Ziroli Zero many times. Email for pictures. Paul

Status: offline 		I fly mine with a G-38 and smoke. Love it! True, it does have a few weaknesses like the landing gear legs and tires, and the pilot. But unlike the other posters, I did not have any trouble with the elevator linkage and rather liked the whole set up. I did treat the pilot with some sandpaper and a paint job and got him looking a bit better. The best thing is how it flies and looks in the air. I figure it is a pretty cheap way to get into giant scale and it only took me a week to get it in the air.

Status: offline 		No cockpit kit but a decal for the instrument panel. I added leather and some paint in the cockpit area in addition to the pilot I mentioned before. Helped the looks very much.
I forgot to mention, use the silicone gromments that come with the canopy or you will be replacing it soon.

How does it fly? Any tip-stalling tendencies? Does it tend to snap when it stalls? Also, does it need some speed when landing? I have a Supertigre G4500 that needs a plane, would 2-stroke
glow be a good choice?

Status: offline 		Sorry for the delay. It flies verrrry slow. I could not get it stall. Everyone was afraid I would put it in. No bad tendencies except the landing gear. I stripped one of the servos out on a crosswind landing. No damage to the plane. I am putting in Spring Airs right now. Should fly again this weekend if the weather cooperates. I also replaced the pilot with one from GI Joe. I had to cut off the waist and legs but looks good. I will send pictures.

Status: offline 		would like to here more about this plane started to work on mine this weekend .please let me know more about what retracts to get . If you have one with a gas motor please tell me more would love to see a picture of one with a bme or zdz 50. looked at mine pretty close and was wondering if I go with gas will this glass fuse hold together and do have to cut up this motor box much RICH

The Zero is a very fine flying plane but there are several improvements that you may need to do.
The retracts are glued in with hot glue and need to be cut out and glued properly. Replace the retracts with Robart air. The pilot is the pits but you can get one from Hanger 9 that is a Japanese pilot and it works well and looks correct. The spinner is also bad and can be replaced with a Tru Turn or equal. The hardware should be thrown in the trash and replaced with good stuff. The rig for the elevator is a master piece of junk and can be replaced with two carbon fiber rods from two servos. Make sure you use the silicone grommets on the cowl and the canopy. The canopy will break if you don't. The connections for the cowl is a really neat way to attach a cowl and should be followed. This plane flys very good on the OS 160 it was designed for but will take 2 pounds of weight to balance. This doesn't seem to affect the way it flies or lands. This is one of the best landing planes I have ever owned. Hope this helps.

Status: offline 		Bladebender can you tell me what the part number for the robo struts? I'm changing the gear also. I put in a quadra 52, balanced out perfect. The weight came in at 17 and a half pounds so far and I'm going to add smoke to it too.
