non rc glider s are different so ignore the following. non rc are very easy to build, look at the link below, i have an example of a balsa glider that if scaled up will work with just about any engine e down.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1186435/mpage_1/key_rocket%252Cglider/anchor/tm.htm#1186435

um... not advised... stick rc and rocket to gehter and what ya get? guided missile. some one some where is gonna flip if they see it.

(ever wonder why you never see rc rockets?)

i personaly would love to build a high alt rocket glider flying on an m engine but that would put it out of range, solution? make it home in on a ham radio signal... (guidance?) this is esentialy a cruise missile which is why i havent done it. also, the last rely to this topic that says im crazzy... what ever man, ive made my own engines that were bigger than you, me nad any other person... tel lme im crazzy i dont care, im right and the magority know it.

once you get into the area of rockets (first i dunno what ama says about that) but you are playing with pyrotechnics which fall under faa regulations <-- this is the fun part. there are rules that must be followed not to mention, the vast majority or gliders are not built for the high impule of a rocket, they are desigend for the smoth lift of a high start.

its all up to you, the odds are that no one will notice, but if you fly it at your club.. never know who works for who or who will call up who if you dont meet the exact safty regulations to the letter.

once again, your gonna get some ones atention weather thats good or bad, some one will notice.

sorry to burst your bubble, and it can be done. but its hard and the only way i no of to legaly do it os to become a member of tripolii and laynch it wit htheir rules at their launches.

Estes has something called the "Centurian" which is an RC ARF rocket glider. Requires a 2 channel radio. Wingspan is about 30 inches, if I recall.

You can find it on their web site, and at tower hobbies. Street price is about $100. It needs a launcher, and it seems to me engines are a bit pricey, at $12 a launch.

btw, ive given up on telling ppl that rc rocket gliders are dumb, so go for it, kill yer self...

99GrandTouring...... If you are still interested in a rocket glider kit, there were a few of these marketed a while back..... There was a rocket glider called a Phoenix designed by Aerotech that I built that was really a very nice functioning rocket glider, first launch was straight as an arrow but the motors are quite expensive..... Estes put out a few of them, one was called a Astro Blaster and one was called a Sweet Vee..... I have all these kits, if you would like to purchase one.......... Give me a PM and let's talk!!
Have A Good One,
BILLY
