Here are some shots of project in progress, KMP Fw-190 D9 that I got in primer and about 2/3 of the way done with assembly. It has a DA 60 in the nose and I have done quite a few add-ons, new turbo sccop, root cannons, pitot, drop tank, new rear retract hatch, gun hatches for wings, etc.

Is being done as WkN 500666 of JG 301.

hey Boss, is that an ARF kit? If so, congrats on the work of making it yours. Love to see a good bash.. Your fuel tank needs to be rounder...more teardrop shaped and then flattened at the tail end

Ram, ya, the tank is distorted, but has to since the undercarriage is closer together than the 1:1 aircraft, would not clear the wheels during the cycle. It is an ARF, my first large warbird, and was lucky to get a primered version so I can work without messing up the finish and I will be able to paint it a version I wanted. I want to make it mine and I guess it is mine now huh...LOL.

You need to beef up the landing gear area of that ESM D9. I know as I have one. Add some cloth and resin as well as additonal epoxy in every joint you can reach. I had my mains rip out on the 3rd flight and on the 4th, the left side of the wing buckled at the gear location. It was not a hard landing, but ran off the side of the runway into not so high grass/weeds and one of the gear caught on something and tore that area up bad. I have a completely new wing for the plane now thanks to Tomas at VQ

Kahloq, I already have a plan on that front. I am filling as much of the LE area and root of the wing practical with 2-part foam. Basically making it a solid structure. I will inspect and do some epoxy filling as well. I know the ship is what it is, but it can be made a whole lot more solid. Thanks again!

This is my first try in foam ARF's which are getting better all the time. With a little modifications and weathering they look pretty good. First is FMS FW190 55" WS second is Me109 also FMS 55" WS. Focke Wulf has a BMW801 engine sound system installed and I am working on Me109 DB601 Engine sound.

kahloq Your Stuka looks really good. Very realistic wash away paint.

Here is my Royal Stuka the same size as yours. I made it to be D5

30 year old ME-109G6 built from an MK Kit. Restored and overhauled it in 2011. Didn't take long to decide on the paint scheme seeing I had a ME-109 being rebuilt around the corner from where I live

Obviously mine is the smaller one with the correct yellow cowl

Rev, that must have been wonderful to have that beast round the corner for inspiraton!! Here's a couple of recent ones from me. Firstly a 1/4 scale Messerschmitt Bf110C, 2 x Quadra 42. An old model, blown up from the Brian Taylor plans. The 110 was in ZG76 BofB colours originally, I sold it on to a mate who refurbed it into the later ZG76 scheme seen here. Then an Me 262, just over 1/3 scale powered by 2 Jet Central Mammoth turbines.

Ian.

No, weather has been suck a.$.$ as you know. Its ready to go and the motor is tuned as well. The only reason it didnt fly the last time it was at the field was due to Dale pushing too hard on the tail while holding it and messed up the tailwheel linkage. Once home and inspected, it has been beefed up a good deal and ready. Hell, by the time the weather gets better, I'll probably have a few planes to maiden.....maybe even the new Hangar 9 ME-109F due mid Feb(already on the boat over here).

Paint still drying fresh from the Todd Burley skunk works. This ME163 belonged to Joe Sattia himself and is his design kit. It was all red experimental colors originally.

Decided to give her a Jv 400 scheme.

Will be an electric setup when I'm finished with her

Hard to tell size in these photos. But wingspan is 80". It's a beast.
