you SoCal guys are CrAZy lol.

hows the 262? I saw your taxi tests...thats one beautiful piece of work there.

Casey

Casey

The 262 is still in ground testing phase. So far I have blown 2 Castle HV110 and 1 Lipo pack....both failures of the Castle HV110 was CASTLE equipment failure and NOT USER ERROR!!! I have ranted about this on my other forum, so I wont hijack this one with my rant. Like the real 262 the main issue is the engines and getting my setup to run as advertised. Everything is so tempermental, and unless your a factory pro guy with a never ending supply of gear for free....then the learning curve on this project hurts. I am ready for the maiden once again...and now have to wait for our test field to dry out (see photos above). Good or bad...I will post the results.

I bought my 2 SisT kits from

Yes, I've looked at that plane probably as much as you have haha....I'm still torn, If the D-9 kit was availible...I dunno...its one of my favorites, along with the TA-152

Just got off the phone with Jose, my 109 is INCOMMING oh yeah!

can't wait to get it! I'll make sure to do a thread on it when it comes in.

Remember the famous words:

"a fighter pilot is one, who when locates the wife, tells her about the purchase, and goes out for dinner that night. Everything else is rubbish." Manfred von Richthofen 1916

That would be the one that I'm leaning towards....but, I have to keep in mind that where I fly I'm surrounded by the Sierra's. Browns and winter schemes will be hard to see here, but a dark green camo I've found shows nicely against the mountains.

dunno.

Come on down Casey... The Dry... errr currently Wet lake is where we do our maidens and the crucial 5-10 "burn in your brain" test flights. Pandi belongs to PVMAC (Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club) and I belong to VVRCF (Victor Valley R/C Flyers

The Dry Lakes are probably the safest way to test fly any bird. The main reason is if the engine craps out you can put'R down anywhere. And yes... Just point'r into the wind and let'R rip!
