Ok I posted this on my build forum, but wanted to share with the Luftwaffe fans on this forum. Nice video we did on this ME 262 project...and as far as I know...the only one flying on twin EDF right now. Enjoy.

So I decided to scratch build a Blohm & Voss P-214 / P-212 with a left over 50 mm EDF motor from an Alpha jet that had crashed. I drew the pictures from drawings I downloaded from www.luft46.com - I used the actual airfoil enlarged in thickness and about a 2" additional wingspan. Other than that, it is pretty close to the original. This was my first scratch built from foam airplane and I ordered a wire cutter to make the wing. The fuselage I made from blue foam and a small wire cutter from Michaels arts and crafts.

I used HiTech HS 55 servos and a spectrum park flier receiver. 1300/11.1 volt battery and 40 amp speed controller. Elevons only for control. I have not put this plane on a scale but it balanced perfectly right out of the gate.

The first flight was today into about a 7 mph wind... I threw it and it was on rails right from the start. I figured that it was going to crash or if not crash... fly great. Thankfully it flew great. The video is a bit ADHD but you get enough of the plane to get an idea of how well this plane flies.

You can see that its a meister on the third picture from the left.

Look at the line along the lower edge of the fuselage from wings trailing edge and back to the rudder.

On the full scale it is a rounded curve, not really an edge.

Absolutely! Very, very nice color scheme too. I wonder who was the pilot of the real plane?
