Status: offline 		I JUST GOT DONE ADAPTING AN E-Z START FROM MY .15 T-MAXX TO MY .25 OFNA. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I KNOW THAT A NEW 2.5 TMAXX COMES WITH ONE BUT IF YOU DO THE 21 COVERSION IT DOSEN'T COME WITH ONE. ALL YOU NEED IS A DREMAL TOOL AND SOME MONKEY MAINTENANCE AND PRESTO A E-Z START MADE FOR A KING...YOU DO HAVE TO RELOCATE THE TANK ABOUT 1/4 INCH TO THE LEFT TO PROVIDE CLEARENCE FOR THE STARTER MOTOR.

Status: offline 		Just put a rotostart on it and you don't have to worry about doing any mods. Just bolt it on. I put one on my 24.7 converted Maxx and it has worked out great. Got a bad ass big block Maxx and still have electric start. That way, you're not adding all that crap from the ez start onto your truck either.

Status: offline 		Yeah i know what you mean elway....I just ordered a rotostart backplate for my savage ...but it would be nice to make use of the old ez-start system since its just lying there in the "parts" box.

Status: offline 		Hpi is actually working on roto plates for their .12 and .15 engines now. I wouldn't be surprised to see more to follow.

Status: offline 		Yeah the small block rotostart are already for sale... the part number for the BB version is 87110 and SB version is 87120. Same price for both.

Status: offline 		Well since the truck is at work at the moment and pics are not available. I am gonna try to break it down Barney style . Take your motor all the way out of the truck remove the exhaust. Take your ez start and line it up in place in the one way barring. Notice that it lines up but covers about a 1/4 of your exhaust hole. Luckily it is where the screw hole on the ez start is. take a dremal tool and cut the whole screw hole and a little extra material away. try not to make a hole into the case. if you do fill it with shoe goo. make sure that you don't go nuts with the dremal. cut just enough that you can see into your exhaust hole from the rear with your ez start placed on the bearring. Now off to the hardwae store. Find your self some washers that are maybe 1/8 thick and use them as spacers between the ez start and the back of the motor. Gonna have to get some longer screws also. Now to put it together. First place your header on the motor. next affix your ez start on the bearring and press down. this should sandwich the header betwee the ez start and the motor. next place the spacers in the gap between the motor and the ez start. Put some thred loc on the screws and tighten it down till snug. Solder your wires in the right spots, Red and Black. Move you gas tank over a little and WALLAH there you go. A little micky Mouse Maintenance and you are on your way.

Status: offline 		Roto starts are nice but they kill one ways especially on picco .26.

There is a guy on the ofna boards had put the LD3 electric start on his titan with a very similar installation.

Status: offline 		Actuallly, I have the roto on my Picco .26 Savage also, and as long as you follow what Ofna says and use the spacer, you wont have any one way issues. Unless that is, you dont know how to prime a truck properly and flood the crap out of it.
