Though they're not listed, onlybatterypacks.com (a GREAT source for these packs!!!) DOES make 2100-2700mah packs for the Savage!!!

They're similar to the T-Maxx "strap-ons" likt this http://www.onlybatterypacks.com/showitem.asp?ItemID=10158.16

With NiMH packs, you either accept "low" capacity packs that fit the stock battery box or you get big ones that bypass the box entirely ('cause they're physically too big). For the Maxx, they make 2 that are mounted on a plate & REPLACE the stock box (bolts right into it's holes, has a good switch & charge jack), and 2 that are designed to srap on to the front shock tower, which is supposed to help handling & keep the nose down a bit.

Give 'em a call-Jeff is a great guy to deal with & he'll run down all your options. I dunno if they have/can make a plate mount 2700mah pack for the Savage. Seems like it wouldn't be a problem, though.

Yeah i gave these guys a call yesterday and they are really helpful. The savage hump pack 1100 6V is only 25 bucks with a charger and a charging cord! Heck if you ordered off tower or something the pack would cost 35, you'd have to buy a switch to be able to charge and a charger if you don't have one which all that can run the bill up to 70 - 80 bucks for a dang battery. I'm going to give the 25$ pack a try .... if it doesn't work well i'm not out much.
