i bought a carden 30% cap yesterday from a friend that he has had for a few years that is still brand new in the box. I bought the plane because the price was right and i wanted a good beginner imac plane and a plane that would do 3D also. i was just wondering what you guys think of this plane and if you any comments on the build of it. It came with a 3w 75 engine and a complete hardware kit from carden. any input would be appreciated.

Chad

Sounds like a good combo-don't know what you paid for all of it, but should make a fine flying plane.

I hope you didn't screw up. I just bought one almost ready to fly.
3W 75Us for power.

It will be a monster. Be cautioned here, 3W 75, Carden 30% CAP232, and full throttle straight and level equals high potential for catastrophic failure. You have a VERY unlimited combination. Lighten what you can for 3Ds sake but do not scimp on critcal mountings (servo mounting, firewall, hinges, horns, etc.). The 75 will give unlimited performance with 24-26 pounds, you should come close to 19-20.

To answer your basic question, you have not made an error of any kind.

Come up to propbusters in Memphis and see how this combo flies. It will do it all. Trust me.
