chickfisher - I am not aware of that track - what type? On or odd road, parking lot or permanent?

Hey Nitro, I can answer that one for ya The track is located off US-1 in Cocoa, about a mile south from the SR528/US1 junction. The shop is Spare Time Hobbies (321) 636-1808. I actually help put up the track there, back in July. It is offroad, and 100% red-clay. Pretty nice setup, behind the shop. Has a drivers podium up on the roof for a good view, and the track changes in design frequently. They have a pretty good 1/8 scale showing, of course 1/10 is big, and they have a MT class, along with all the electrics. They of course have electric hookup for free, on-site hobby shop (closes right before races start), and drinks/food. It's fairly cheap to race there, and there's some pretty competitive people that race on a regular basis. Anybody in that area should check it out.....I'm in Orlando now, and rarely make it over that way, I usually run at Boggy Creek now. BTW, Spare Time Hobbies is also the manufacturer of Expresscraft Boats (assembled in-house), in case anyone was wondering

I didn't know you were in Orlando. I also race at Boggy Crek, as I live just a mile or two north of the airport. We should get together some time, PM me. Friday nights would be tough for me though, as I work until 5 and my office is right downtown on Orange Ave and Robinson.

RcFreak,
Good answer! I guess it is time to bring this thread back to life.....
Anyone run at the Daytona track?
What are the reviews on RPM in Orlando?
How about Sanford?
Lets get some reviews so that we are not all wasting our time trveling all over to crappy tracks.

I recently went up to the Daytona track off LPGA and was very impressed with the facility! A+ track.

The track in Cocoa is in despirate need of some more clay and lots of attention. It is getting very bumpy and the clay is wearing thin, to the point that you can see the dirt below.

Last weekend a few of us headed to Bartow. That track was also very nice, and it appeared to be very well ran.

So what about all of the other tracks?
Let us all know!

Hello, all. I would like to invite everyone in the off-road rc scene to come out and try our new off-road track. Its located in palm bay, florida.
We are just putting the finishing touches on the drivers stand and finishing some modifications to the track layout. We are planning for an open house on June 12th, 2004.

The track is 420' long made of a florida clay base, the drivers stand will be 8 feet by 16 and covered.

For more information visit http://www.palmbayrc.com

If you would like to come out and try it before the grand opening and your in the area. Please, contact me.

Anyone run On-road electrics in the Orlando area???

I live in Lake Mary. I have a T4 that I just bash with. Thinking of getting into on road.

Anyone been to TQ Hobbies and Raceway in Longwood?? Any opinions?

Are there any other places to run On road in the area???

Thanks,
Craig

I just got my first Truck. Savage 25 LE. It's still not through the breakin process. But anyway... I live in Melbourne. Takes me about 50 minutes to get to OIA and about 20-25 minutes or to Cocoa. (528/US1) I actually work up in that area every day. In this area are a lot of new subdivisions going up. And theres a crapload of dirt out there. hehe. Can't wait.

Titusville resident here...More of a basher than anything, no real time to get into racing much. Good to see there's a thread to meet other Central Florida RC folks =)
