I knew about the upgrade and the 5 amp, someone said that it would only do lipo at 2.5 amps. I'll have to try it and see.
I have to try that "trickle" charge also to see if it does it on lipo.

You can only do 2.5 max per battery if you are charging two batteries at once. With the new upgrade on the 969 you get a new AC converter also. The new converter will let you do 5.0 Amp per battery if you are charging two at once. Per MRC Tech dept. My charger has the old upgrade so I didnt get the better AC converter. I only do sport flying with EP so this charger is good for me. If I were doing the really high dollar stuff I would buy a Lipo only charger from FMA or Thunderpower etc.

Where does it say that? I am curious, the Tech said it will do 5am per channel if you have the upgraded AC converter.........
That is good to know, in case I ever get into bigger EP batteries.

Did they fix the "feature" of resetting everything ~15 minutes after a charge or discharge completed?!

I found this very useful for determining battery capacity (discharge) or charge status (how well it took a charge)!!!

I wanted to have a little talk with the programmer who made that brilliant decision.

After the update, it still does the stupid reset thing, it remembers the current and some other settings, but not the one thing you want, the mah. dangit.
