Hi, I still have many cox powered planes in the hangar. One scratch trainer, 3 or so Lil Satans [depending on repair status] and a Baby Flight Streak, Swordsman. Anyway I have built a twin boom tail plane that needs a Pusher prop. When I started this project I did not forsee the problem of finding them. I even gave my hobby store a old Cox Part number to no avail.
Any sugestions? Also in the 70s we used to get a what we called a power prop which was made by thimble drone. They were grey. The new stock 6-3 props or master air screws dont compare.
Thanks in advance for your response.

unfortunately the grey Cox competition props are out of production. Estes has decimated the Cox line and reduced it to rubble. If you are able to find any in any hobby shops buy them and enjoy for there will be no more.
As to pusher props there are several sources available As you mentioned Master Airscrew, Graupner, Tornado, a little looking around will get you the item you need.

I've had good luck with the APC props on my Free Flight competition bird. You may try those. You'll have to experiment with the sizes for best performance. In my case I went from a 5x3 Grey Cox to a 6x2 APC and got a much better climb. I wasn't going for speed though.

If you're using a FI Cox in pusher mode you're going to have problems finding pusher props. If it's a reedie then no problem of course. You an even find left hand starter springs from the RTF's that used reverse props to help with the line pull. These were all "softies" though so they won't do you any good if performance is the name of the game.

Try this:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0096p?&N=N&C=&F=LXFZP4&L=COXG2102&S1=COX&S2=&S3=&S4=
They have the black ones and 3 blade pushers.

Lone Star Balsa has 1/2a props also, tornado's, about a buck each.
