tfacr I have just about got the inside of the trailer done and It wont be until the spring before I get paint onthe inside because of the cold I had -35* , yes 35 below yesterday morning and it is supposed to be 20* sunday so progress has been slow but I will post pics as soon as possible. I do plan on painting the inside though and putting tie downs on the floor. I have the shelves in and was able to put four 1/4 scale planes on them with a bunch of room for some buddies plane so we can get some road trips into other fields , can't wait . Any one else got a trailer project going on this winter?

Hey - I'm with you...snowed all weekend...our field is being partially dug up in the spring..I may have to take up park flyers and I shudder at that thought!
Here are some pictures of a custom trailer that I really like. This is what can be done to a plain 12x6x6 trailer. Nice - huh?" I'm going to try to accomplish something like the pictures below.
That's the trailer that inspired me, (I think its from RC Foolish) but I didn't do it mine like his though, I need the full lenght room for some of the large airplanes I have in there.
But his trailer is probably one of the nicest I have seen so far.

Thanks Roger. How's the flying up there? It got to -12 below the other night. Too cold to fly here. I've been working on a Cermark Pitts, now I have to figure out how I can put it in the trailer without taking wings apart. I need some ideas on a removable shelf.

Roger your right, the trailer is RC Foolish's and it also inspired me. I believe the pictures on page 1 of this thread are of his trailer. How about some pictures of your trailer, if you can find it under all that snow. Need some more ideas.

RC Foolish: the only flying I'm doing here in the deep freeze is on the similator. As for removable shelf, have you thought about a sliding shelf that you would slide out. I had this feature with the first trailer I built. I used a Luan door. It was light, and would not bend easily.
RC Guy:, Your right, my trailer at this time is under a lot of snow. Besides, I use it for some storage of airplanes in winter to liberate the shop a bit.
Here is an earlier picture when I just got the trailer withe the wing shelves I added. The airplanes I will haul this coming summer will be much bigger so I need the whole lenght.
Roger
