Well the facts depend on what you are planning to do with the truck.

Different things are better for different types of driving.

I saw both of them this weekend at a hobby shop and the GT look a lot better.

The Mammoth wheels are way to small and make the truck look out of proportion.

Plus, Team Associated is known for their vehicles.

Do you actually own an MGT? It is neither BIGGER nor FASTER than the MAMMOTH. The MAMMOTH is 23 inches long while the MGT is approx. 22 inches. Top speed on the MGT is 32-34 mph. Top speed on the Mammoth is 50+. Well, as you can see, so far the MAMMOTH is BIGGER and FASTER. I don't know what togher means. I'll assume you meant tougher. I don't own either so I can give an opinion there.

I meant I cannot give an opinion as to the toughness of either truck.

All this 50 mph talk re. the Mammoth seems like a lot of hot air!!

It weighs MORE than the Savage 25

It's engine is a tad smaller and I'd bet they are within 5-10% of each other in terms of overall power.

SO....the laws of physics dictate that the ONLY way the Mammoth could be faster is if it is geared for speed rather than power. And of course, that could be done to ANY truck, if all you care about is top speed.

When I read a mag. w/a true speed reading, I'll buy it, but until then, it sounds like yet another mfg. claiming more than they deliver

The Mammoth IS MUCH faster than all the other typical monster trucks I've run with. Walks away from a Savage 21, smokes the Savage 25 SS and also easily moves away from all kinds of Tmaxxes we drive with at the local skate park. It's fast, BELIEVE IT. It is definitely a bad ass truck, I'll tell you right now, give it a few more weeks and thats about all you'll read about on here is the XTM Mammoth

Just FYI everyone...
The Mammoth is actually about 21" from bumper to bumper, so it's not as long as the TC, BFT, and Titan Deluxe (they are 22" . XTM must have measured from the front bumper to the back of the body (which extends past the rear bumper). That's not really a fair way to measure...you could put a 1/5 on any truck, and call it the biggest...

Deandome your reply was pretty stupid. Look how small the t-maxxes engine is yet it still can push over 40 mph.

STUPID???

No, that would better refer to how you COMPLETELY missed the well-conceived comparison between two trucks with almost identically-matched engines. The heavier one is claiming 50 mph, the lighter one is claiming & acheiving 40.

At first I doubted the Mammoth will hit 50 out of the box. Then I came around to say that the ONLY way the Mammoth could hit 50 (or even 43 or so!) would be if XTM geared it for speed at the expense of torque (something that's a wee bit important in monster trucks).

Insult away. I'd expect nothing more from a representitive of the embarrasingly-crude city of Philadelphia[8|-

You cant really saty anything about a truck you dont own and have never seen run. But once again we habe a speculator instead of experience. Speak from your head not your ass

Seriously, you cant judge a truck on popularity (seems like the MGT has got that, because it uses the plain 2 shock setup and is big). I bet the mammoth would smoke the MGT and Savage 25 (all stock). It really comes down to what you want, not popularity and looks (thats why i bought a X-factor over a savage, because i wanted something different, not the same thing as everyone else).
