yes but you might want a 2 speed at sometime.

if just bashing you might be ok with an hpi rs4 ss evo rtr

comes with 2 speed already installed and said to be one of the best bashing onroad cars out there, or so i have read.

The NTC3 is an excellent choice. I raced two of the team kit versions all last season. With the exception of some minor flaws, it is a great car. Drives nice, handles well, and is easy to mantain. You will be very happy with it, and the two speed is a nice addition when ready.

I was looking at getting that car too, after Nitroaddict's recommendation.

Not to steal the topic of your post maverick89, but if I get the kit version of the car what would be the best engine/gearing ratio? I want the car to be able to go as fast as it possible can.

jarret - the stock gears that come with the kit give the best balance of acceleration and top speed. depending upoin which engine u use, top speed with the stock gearing will be between 50-60mph. You can go up 2 teeth on the pinions for most engines, but anything beyond that will require a modified engine, or a runway to get up to speed. up 2 teeth on the pinions wil add about 5-10mph.

Ok, so if I just use the stock gearing, what engine should I purchase?
The price of the engine doesn't matter if that helps.

U say price doesnt matter. It always matters. Give me a range of what you want to spend.

100-150
150-200
200-300
300-400
400 and up.

Are you planning on racing, or just bashing? What are your driving and tuning skills like? Novice, intermediate, or expert?
