Status: offline 		How about this. Go down to ACE hardware....and buy a 10/32 3" bolt and be done with it. NO MUSS NO FUSS.... even the hex head fits in beautifully without modifying.

Status: offline 		Does anyone have the DA 50 mounted with the stock muffler and the cowl cut to accommodate? If so could you please post a picture of how you cut the cowl. Just looking for some different ideas.

Go to the web site that's listed in my signature. He's got all kinds of pictures with a stock DA50 muffler mounted on a WH Edge540T.

Also there's installation of a 3W50 on that web site.

Status: offline 		For transferring the marks. What I just did was make a second spacer and counter sunk one side of it. This allowed me to mount the spacer to the stand offs and have the one side still flush. Then I enlarged the center whole on the firewall and used small clamps to now hold the engine in place (with the standoffs and spacer). Now align the engine (which takes some time of putting the cowl on and off making slight adjustments each time. When done - take cowl off trace around the spacers I made, take engine off and spacers off from the standoffs. Then place the spacers back on the fire wall and clamp back on, and just drill out the wholes. Works great.

When you say you like the G62 over the DA50 would you explain what you mean. I was under the impression that the DA had more Hp than the G62 considering the weight penalty. Goes to show you how much I know!

According to that when mounting a DA- 50 you need to put in more right thrust. So the reason I asked on last post was to get it straight from you. I would appreciate some info on this. Thumbs up on your new EDGE.

I have seen those posts but have not had the same experience myself, my testing has the plane pretty much neutral with respect to thrust angle. IF it's tail heavy it does tend to wander when pulling vertical, but if balanced properly I have not seen any need to change thrust angle (if I had I would have done it). YMMV
