You have pics of your 9.5?

Most anything made by novarossi is better than most engines on the market. It is a brand can't go wrong with.

I agree with Study! Novarossi's are at the top of the food chain when it comes to aftermarket engines. One thing I will say though is that the P5 (along with the RB WS7II) is one of the most desireable engines for buggies. I don't know that I would have the P5 on my list as a throw in if the RX21 doesn't work.

The P5 is slightly more powerful than the RX21. If you're racing, and torque is your main concern, then go with the P5. It makes a lot of power down low. If your more concerned with top speed, the RX21 would be the way to go. The RX21 rev's higher makes more power in the upper RPM range. Either way, you'll end up with a top notch engine.

The P5 will set you back about 250.00 to 300.00 depending on where you look. You can get it at both Brucknerhobbies.com and Nitrohouse.com. The RX21 is definitely more expensive at 350.00 to 400.00. Personally, I think it's a bit over the top in that it has a beefier crank case and the reciprocating assembly is balanced. It's a great engine if you have money to burn.

Madmaniac,

You are correct with the CLB pricing. My error, I re-read my info this morning and I pulled the specs from the R1WC instead of the CLB. Oops!! As for the P5, 400.00 is a bit steep. You should be able to get it for 250.00 to 300.00. The CLB looks to be a pretty good engine though.

BUT..........

What your asking is "Is the ferrari 360 Modena a good car for my 23 year old?"

WRONG QUESTION!

If you dont know what novarossi is, please dont buy one!
I dont mean this as an insult! Really.

If you dont have the experience, novarossis are not gonna tolerate you. They are sensitive to tune, especially the 3 needle versions.

The advanced engines have the extra power.. but only in the hands of a professional! (aka someone like nitroaddict or i8tweety here on RCU)
Someone like me or you should stick to O.S
If you dont know how to tune, you'll waste your money, time and effort working on a high end engine. In the end all you'll have is sorrow!

How do I know? I learn the hard way ITs pretty bad when you have a $350 engine and a Hyper 8 port kicks your ass.

Ram's right. If you are an experienced racer, you should look at the high end novarossi, rossi, RB, etc. If you are a club racer, you need look no further than OS for power, reliability, longevity, and ease of tuning. Having a reliable powerplant allows you to focus on tuning your chassis and driving skills rather than your carburetor.

the problem is that the exhaust that comes with the the hong nor speed 9.5 doesn´t fit the os 21rgp.
Ive had an ek4 mega force and a mad force so i can tune an engine pretty good.
is the cipolla x-power any good i can get it cheap.
