Ijust got a matney models napier 40 and this is my first time a real fast plane kit unfortuneitly there is no hardware in the kit no balsa no ply no control horns nothing the kit dont even have instructions i could shure use some helphare is some of my questions 1 it done show a rudder servo is this for a reason 2 should i buy special pushrods and control horns 3 skining the wing I dont have a vacum bag sistem any suggestions the plans mention useing the outside core blocks to obtain the desired 2 digres of dihedrill 4 in cutting holes in the foam wing for the carbon fiber and balsa landing gear blocks what does everone do make special wires for there sodering gun sorry to sound like such a newbee I have been flying for quite a long time and Ive built a lot of goldberg kits expessually the 10/300 bipe but I done have any expereance with fiberglass fuses or foam wings last year i kit bashed a plane together for the nelson 40 i bought but once the airplane got airborn and unloaded it could not handle the speed and i barely recovered the plane so here i am with a kit with no gear and no instrutions signed Ray Rusaw Juneau Alaska

Hi Ray.

I would suggest that you email Kevin Matney and ask him to send you a set of instructions. A normal set of instructions with kits can be many pages., Too many to type out on a forum. A Q40 airplane is not for beginners in either building or flying that is why the kits do not have extensive instructions. I wouls also suggest that you do not attempt to build it unless you get some help.

If you get realy stuck then let us know and we can maybe get enough people to contribute some help on this Forum.

ok I'll see what I can get from him I was suprised they wernt in them in the first place and assomed there just wasnt any I've herad of kits like that.

oh ya I forgot happy turky day I went out and plowed the ten inches of snow off the runway and tore some holes in the sky with my 60 size koes got a st90 and it moves

Reminds me of my first quarter 40 kit. The instructions were on a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" paper, and said "As you can see, this kit is basically a no-brainer" There were a couple VERY basic instructions, but that was about it. Thankfully, I had a lot of help, I would suggest contacting Kevin.
