    Chas RB,

Although I have yet to put it together, I bought a ''Falcon Aviation'' set of cockpits which came complete with miniature screw heads for the corners of the instruments. They look very scale and include several resin switches (fuel selector valve etc). Not sure if Falcon still do instrument panels, as I haven''t seen them recently.

On a completely separate subject for those of us who are installing (or have installed) singlecylinder engines (I know the radial would be better!) could any of the thread contributors give me advice on whether you have added either down thrust or side thrust to the engine mounting. I am about to construct the ''engine mounting tube'' and want to drill the holes for the dubro mount whilst the bulkhead is still a flat plate. I have tentatively marked the mount for no angle off in either direction. Obviously to fit within and exit centrally through the front of the dummy crankcase, the bulkhead mounting offset is critical.

Any advice (other than go buy the radial!) gratefully received.

    Harrier Mate (slowest builder!)

    Harrier Mate,

The instructions in the manual are for single cylinder engines and will work well. I haven''t heard of anyone complain about Flairs recomendation of thrust angles as related to single cylinder engines.

These are the only dimensions I have seen for the Stearman

    Horle,

Nice work. What size screws did you use for the fairings? Are they functional or merely decorative?

    Harrier Mate.
