This is a start!! Once i figure out how to post pics Ill put up some from the most recent AMA Skydiving Rally. Wil Jones from Kentucky, a member of the www.solomonrc.com jump team was the only one to hit the bulls eye at the Muncy Rally. We are working on a spring Rally here in western N.C. sometime around may, we should have some dates up soon. Talk to you soon!!!! Aim High and Blue Sky!!

Hi everyone,

R/C Skydiving has actually been around for quite some time, RCM had a article back in 1976.
I don't know who should get the credit for building the first one.
I have only been doing it for about four years.
There was also an article that appeared in Model Aviation Oct. 2002 that was written by John Sedovic our skydiving friend from St. Louis MO. The pictures used for the article were taken in Sept. 2001 at the rally held at the AMA facility in Muncie IN.

From what I hear R/C Skydiving it quite popular in Europe, and they are very good at hitting the target.

C.R. Fowler has written an article on the R/C skydive rally that was held at the Henry County Wright Flyers field in Indiana on Sept. 20-21, 2003.

It is posted on his website and also has a few pictures.

I hope to make it out to one of the events this year. Everyone always needs a dopr pilot.

guys, just in case anybody is interested, I just put my solomon rc brand new skydiver up for sale in the marketplace. It is in the scale gas or glow section. Didn't know where else to put it. Anyway, check it out and PM me if interested. There is nothing wrong with it, and it still sitting in the same box as it was recieved. I just don't have time to get to it right now.

Hey Guys, I think I figured out how to size my pics so they will fit!!! Here are some pics of the 2003 AMA Skydiving Rally. Team member Wil Jones next to his bulls eye landing with his Solomon R/C skydiver. Second is the whole group that competed. Third is Solomon R/C Team member Gary Vanfossen's drop plane, a very nice rebuild of a Nosen Trainer. Fourth is Paul Reiner's beautiful Wilga drop plane. Talk to you soon!!!!

Hey guys,
Just finished my Skydiver and my friend and I worked on the jump plane this past weekend. Now as soon as we get a warm day, my skydiver will be making his first jump. I am new to this sport but my brother has been doing it for about a year now and loves it. We have a Hangar 9 1/4 Decalthon for our jump plane and my friend is already in the process of getting his own skydiver after seeing mine. I will make sure to post some pics after my first jump. One more thing do you guys hold fly-ins or should I call them jump-ins? If so I would be interested in attending one and meeting some of you guys. thanks

Scott

Wil,
My skydiver originated from the SkydiveUSA but my Brother made quite a few improvements, such as redesigned to arms to move farther plus he manufactured some new brackets to make it look better. I will take some pictures and and post them. My chute is from R/C Skydive USA. It looks like this weekend is going to be good to make a jump, so I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the info.

My brother would have the drawings that you are looking for and you can email him a naylor_dave@hotmail.com. I am using Hitec HS-77 servos they are low profile and have 77 oz of torque. Hope that helps.
