Hi all.
I`ve been thinking about getting this FW190 from G.S.P.
I have there Hellcat and like the way it looks and flys.
I wanted to know if anyone has this FW190 from GSP/Flair and how you like it??
What are you using for power? What dont you like about it?
Building tips, retracts you are using, and have you repainted it??
Looks like it could use a nice repaint job.
Please post some pics. of your GSP-FW190 along with some input on it>
Thanks all...

RCS 1.40 Gas, 13+ lbs, flies like a champ, very scale, plenty of juice for scale manuevers.

fiberglassed the wing and tail and added panel lines. Get ready to add lots of weight to the nose, at least 1lb + engine. I had to add a few ounces more to allow seperating the igntion and battery (In front of firewall) from the RX and it's battery (About where the cockpit is).

I've had two FW's , I'll try to post a picture of the ill fated Black 10. The RCS engine's plug wire sucks. It rattled loose causing the PCM to go into fail safe with the ground it's final stop. Both have flown identical. I have also flown a friend's with an OS 1.08 in it w/ fixed gear. Weight was 12 -1/4lbs including 1lb+ in the nose and it flew just as good as my gassers.

NICE!!
You did a good job repainting the FW190,looks great.
What paint did you use on it?
What retracts did you use?
I was planing on using if I got one,a 108-2stroke in it.

Anyone else with any feedback or pics. on this GSP-FW190???

hello I have the gsp flackworf 190 here in australia there called CM PRO but same thing mine had a OS 108 and robat retracks in it the only problem I have with mine is on landing when it slows down it somtime tips over on its nose but other than that she is a great fly plane NO bad habits and with the flaps down on landing it will stop flying before she stalls just make sure you laterly balance it or it will drop the heavy wing when slowing down I also had to put about a pound of nose weight in mine but that doesnt effect her flying she is a plane that just groves along nice like its on rails you wont be dissapointed in it

GSP Kits opther than the Corsair tend to be OK
I have the .40 Thunderbolt and it flies great. The scale outline is off but not badly. I had to add 10 oz to the cowl for CG purposes but that is typical of the Radial engine short nose birds. Beware of customer service from GSP there have been many concerns posted here on this site. Their foamie birds are OK (foam wing Glass Fuse) but shy away IMO from their corsair. Their quality has improved greatly in the last few years but again if you have trouble with anything beware their customer service

I used Behr latex interior flat house paint. You could use it but you would have to clear coat so it's fuel proof. All markings were painted with polly's' acrylic and aeromaster acrylic, The gear are robarts, forget which part # but they are 85 degree models.

Here is an ok picture of "Black 10" prior to it's end. I had breech covers on the wings, rivets, panel lines, panel hinges and stencil decals. On "Yellow 2", I left off the rivets, stencils and covers to finish it sooner. The covers and stecils at this point were and are no longer available.

It's a really nice arf, I did go into the gear area and replace the rails with 1/4" aircraft ply cut larger. This area is fairly weak, I hit a rut at our field with "10" on roll out and it pulled the factory rail out. It's really not a hard fix.

Thanks guys for all the info.!
Your planes look great, Looks like a paint job is do on the FW190.
They list(GSP), a .91FX 2-stroke for power on the 190 but looks like a 1.08 with some weight is the way to go(are a nice 120 4-stroke).
