Big bore shocks are among the best maxx shocks out there. I have tried the associated, the losi, and the big bore. All excellent shocks. If your wallett is big enough, try out the new proline shocks. Expensive! But id bet they are high quality.

Yah!! What is up with that??? $200 for the whole set!! That is a crazy price so they better be worth it all.

I dont know. I cant imagine anyone paying that for shocks. Doesnt really matter how good they are. People wont even want to try them at that price. I guess we will have to wait and see what price they end up when they hit the stores.

I forget who, but a frequent contributor chimed in to say the while $200 is the MSRP of this shock system, it's commonly being sold for $150-160.

That makes it MUCH more competitive when comparing top-shelf shocks. Actually even if they WERE $200 I'm sure they kick the butts of UE's Supermaxx shocks & Progressive's piggybacks, both of which are ~$200 per set.

I have two of my Maxx's setup with the Big Bores. They have been beat for a year with no problems (one messed up lower shock mount - that's it). No leaks and these trucks get BEAT HARD.

I change the oil in them every couple of months and will probably rebuild them this winnter.

They are great especially when combined with a good set of springs like the RC Raven Dual Rates.
