It is a great combo. It allows tail touches with very controllable descent and ascent rates.

I have also heard that the YS63 is a great combo, but the torque may provide a challenge to hover without rolling.

I used the 46FX for a while but it was marginal for solid control in descending/ascending hovers.

I heard someone who had both the YS and OS. He says he prefers the OS, that the lighter weight gives it better performance. Maybe, you should try the new OS 50.

I have had an OS 46FX and Irvin 52 both with throttle pipe and running a 12 ¼ x 3 ¾ apc prop in mine. But I now have a YS 63 on 13 x 4 apc. Out of all I have found the YS to be far superior in both acceleration, thrust and liner throttle response. I find the aircraft far easier to prop hang with the YS.

Cheers

Kris

I know many people flying the ys 63 and they love it. They have one in a Madness and we hovered all day with out a problem.

Speak english man, what the hell are you trying to say?? Proper grammer will go a long way in getting your point across.

PS: The YS will smoke any 2-stroke for 3D/hovering type of flying, any 3D master should know this.

My Maddness has an OS 50SX with a Performance Specialties tuned silencer.Digiatal servos; JR 9411 on elevator & ailerons, JR 368 for throttle and a HiTec 5945 on Rudder. Duralite 1600 with a Futaba 9ch 149 RX. Very light setup, plenty of power.

I have also flown one with the YS engine, works fine just a different kind of power. I prefer the OS Setup, crisper and fly's lighter...

Hi Mike

What do you mean by crisper? I have also flown both 2 and 4 and find just the opposite, I find the low power 3D stuff far easier with the response from a 4-stroke than a 2, but according to Suhkoi boy up there I dont know what I am talking about LOL
