Does anybody know about the Senior Pattern Association (SPA)?

http://www.rcpattern.net/spa/

It seems they adhear to a simple setup, no pipes or super charging (aka. using a YS). There are only certain types of pattern planes allowed.

This would be very nice at the club level, sort of a regional grass roots event. I was just thinking of how to get the local hot dog or average Joe involved.

You're not that far away from the main body of those guys. Their main field is in Paulding couty Georgia. Drive down and talk to them. They're a great bunch of guys and will help.

we re having a meet this weekend in huntsville, AL at RCRC field.
Its great fun, great fellowship, and great flying. Its really nice to be in huntsville since that was the site of the 1972 masters selection contest( i believe i have the year right). We use planes designed pre turnaround( list available on site you mentioned). There are many contest accross the Southeast this summer. Join the fun.
True competition flying in a very friendly laid back atmosphere.
