Mike,

I have seen several posts in various forums (some by you) that stated that Hitec digitals & voltage regulators are a no no. I assume that the regulator cannot pass enough current that the digital servos need. Correct me if I am wrong, please. I am trying to learn something here.

My setup is going to be in 2 planes. 33% Cap with 8 5645's & 40% Edge with 14 564525's. Both use 1 RX. The 40% servos gets their power directly from the batteries, not through the RX.

Here is my question(s)

Is this still a correct statement?

What are modelers using to bring down the voltage of Li-Po Packs to be used with Hitec Digitals?

What voltage regulator do I need?

Thanks for your time

Happy Holidays

Mike, I'll post my question here also because it is simular.

I am going to be using Hitec 5945's with my Futaba R149DP Receiver. There is so much conflicting info out there. I am going to run a two battery/switch into one receiver setup. the batteries are 6v NiMAH. Futaba says the receiver does not need a regulator; the servos may.. So the question is : if I amusing 5945's with 6v batteries do they need or not need to also run a regulator. thanks.

splais,

I am using 5645's with a R148DF RX with no problems. 1- 4000 NiMH 5 cell in one of the planes above. The other has a Hitec Supreme and 2 - 4000 NiMH baterys. So far never a problem.

Just thought I would pass this titbit along....

Happy Holidays

Stan

The regulators we have tested from Power Flight have worked well with the digital servos.

No regulators are needed for a 5 cell Nicad or NiMh pack with Hitec equipment.
