We recently lost our flying field of 20+years so now we're flying at a temp field. I'm not sure how the owner would feel about me cutting down one of his trees. I was thinking I might use an old climbing tree stand I have to get it down. If you guys never hear from me again you'll know it didn't go so well.....

Sorry to hear you lost your field. I quit flying on my property since the tree problem. Our Club is at a sod farm, less trees
Be careful climbing that tree, you can always get another plane , but bones take time to heal.

have you gotten foto's of it in the tree, for the record? maybe you should start looking for an energenic youngster to show you how easy it is to shinny up that small tree. its an old fashion way of plane retrevial. maybe the old fashion $2 ain't enough. it isn't flying weather here in So Louisiana, so trying to hog out the nose of the Peter O'Dectal, the electric motor grew in size. no foto's, floppy and computor not talking to each other today. dick

There aren't enough branches to even start climbing that sucker. I'm still looking so A cat to try what one of the other guy's mentioned.

I think I need to hookup with ElectricFlyingGuy and try electrics. More places to fly with less tree.
