Saromos, That will never do. You must get balsa and stuff all over those work benches asap. A clean shop is just, .......well , it just shouldnt be done! <g> Edwin

I guess I should have taken the photos last week before I started cleaning from all the construction. I even saved a bag of sawdust to use as a filler. I gave up the flying season in order to build this. The walls are insulated and rocked. I intalled an A/C unit. I cleared out a lot of stuff that had been stored in the garage. Building the cabinets took the longest time. I am happy with the results so far. Just gotta finish the electrical and insulating the roof, then I can get back to making balsa dust

Thanks Jerry. Cabinet building is something I've always wanted to try. Also, it's the only way I could get a cabinet that was 54" wide to accomodate boxed kits. For the base cabinets, I built two 54" cabinets, three 48" cabinets, three 24" tripple drawer units, and for the uppers, six 36" units and one 30" unit all 38" tall.
I think I have the smallest shop ever. Would you believe I build giant sized aircraft?
Don't forget, the more shop space and the more table space you have, the more junk you will accumulate. And besides look at it this way, yours is very quick to clean

Well, here is my workshop. I am a novice to r/c planes, so I am just getting organized. I do want a larger work bench (the one in the center) but not too heavy in case I have to move it to work on our cars. A 36" x 80" door would work for the top. If any of you guys have plans or some photos of a nice work bench, I would appreciate you posting them. Oh, just in case you wonder how I commandeered the garage for my hangar, turns out that my wife is afraid of hooking her mirrors on the garage door frame ,so she parks it in the driveway. I got her a remote starter so she can start it from inside the house in the winter. Talk about luck! Thanks, Mike[image][/image]

Scott,
Your workshop is an inspiration for me. I want mine to look like that someday. Unfortunately, my garage barely has enough room to store the lawn mower.
