I have always been impressed by the ingenuity of modelers, and this extends to their shops and work spaces.

I would really like to see more floor plan layouts and shop photos of R/C modeler's shops, especially those which are very efficient, very large or small, or unique in some way.

And I would like to see what each of you consider to be a "dream shop" . . . what would you put in it, how would you lay it out, etc.
I know that in my own experiences, I have picked up some useful information every time I enter another modeler's shop, and often incorporate some of their ideas into my own space when possible.

Regards,

Eaglewatch

I am going in the opposite direction of Jim. Moving the shop from a utility building to the basement. The basement is just a hole in the ground now, but I am looking forward to having a work area in the house with a more constant temperature. My shop has an air conditioner, but I don't leave it on, just run it when I am in the shop. The afternoon sun frequently has the temp in the shop over 100 degrees. Jim should not have as much of a problem in Canada that I have in Alabama. Of course I was flying in shirt sleeves this January.

Lee,

The toilet and the sink are two things I do not have in my shop that I really miss. How's everything in Sugar Land? I worked for Ft Bend Co EMS in 1980. Can't believe it has been 22 years.
