From what I've read and seen, you will be ok. Most folks don't bother using a regulator since the receivers will handle the extra voltage well and it tends to drop fairly quickly after a really fresh charge anyways. One less thing to worry about if you don't use a regulator.

Yes, I have been doing it over 3 years and I have had zero problems.

Thanks a lot, Geistware, maybe you can help. I have a plane with a gas electronic ignition engine, I used a servo reverser for the elevator servo's due to the 6xas radio is unable to program dual servo's on the elevator. I had a servo jitter problem just on the elevators, when running the engine as you advance the throttle both elevator halves would start moving to the up position, @ full throttle I had full up elevator about 45 degrees with radio set on low rates with 1" travel set on elevators. In other words they would go past the end points I had programed in & all this happens with out moving the elevator stick. Just throttle up & up go the elevators. Any ideas???

I am waiting on a 9c & some 5945 hitec digitals. I'm hopeing the servo reverser is the culprit as the elevator is the only channel with a problem. I did change the reverser out with a different brand & still same problem

I am going to assume that both sides are moving, I would then recommend that you remove the reverser and see what happens. I am also going to assume that you don't have a mix between the throttle and the elevator. With all that said, the only thing that I would recommend is to remove the extensions and try it again. I have seen extensions with tin plated contacts cause this problem.

If you are going with the hitec servos with the Futaba receiver, I would recommend that you remove ALL the extensitions except the one for the ailerons and extend the leads on the servos. I learned this the hard way.
