Our field has geese and prairie dogs. The prairie dogs are scared of the planes the geese aren't. The only reason I still have my T-MAXX is for chasing geese off the runway. It wouldn't be exaggeration to say there are sometimes 1,000 geese per acre. On several occasions several friends and I have been able to catch a goose using our bare hands. It is also very dangerous to fly when there are lots of geese on the ground in the area because if for some reason they decide to takeoff all at once, it can be hard to avoid the large nuber of them. Since the field is out of city limits I try to encourage people to use the field for hunting when no one is flying but no one seems to like goose.

Its always a treat to clean the "presents" they leave off the runway too.

We sail RC sailboats on an artificial lake in a town park. The place is so full of ducks and domestic geese and the lawn so full of bird c**p that you will slip and slide all over the place just trying to launch your boat. It was intended that the lawn be used for spreading blankets so that people and their kids could picnic and fish. If you have a diosposable blanket it might work. We are also inflicted with a woman called "the duck lady" who loves to feed the bloody things. Tried to get the town council to post signs on the adjacent roadway reducing the speed limit of 25 MPH and giving ducks and geese the right of way. That really backfired when they brought in the Game and Fish Dept. who decided that there were only so many birds allowed per acre of water. They took away over half of the bloody fowl. We have the annual flocks of Canada honkers who spend the winter here but they seldom leave the water and are beautiful birds who purposely avoid the tall white things on sailboats. Now the duck lady has a terminal illness and her last days on this mortal coil will be with the memory of how she failed to do what she began and it ended in destroying many ducks and domestic geese.
