do you get charged with hunting illegaly for that? if people can sue for millions 'cause they got fat on burgers, maybe the prosecutors chould convince the jury that he was waiting for a deer to cross the runway to chop it up?

Spaceclam,

The prosecutors will only have a good case if they make up a rhyme for the accident. hmmm, maybe something like "the deer was filled with fear, and had nowhere to veer!" Juries only give the desired verdicts when presented with a cute little rhyme they can understand.

I used to work on King Airs and the engine will have to be changed due to sudden stoppage. The blades are aluminum and will have to be scrapped. The hub will also more then likely will be scrapped too. As for holding the prop. In temps below -40 degrees you have to place the blades against an immovable object (tug) and start the engine and let it warm up first.

Nice job on the plane, but there is no blood pooling around the deer, which obviously there should with that kind of trauma, got me for a minute.

I hope the PETA people don't see that. Since it was government plane they'd get off scott free anyway- rhyme or no rhyme.

You should post it as "How to field dress a deer in 4.2 seconds!"

I am glad to see the pilot wasn't at full speed in take-off and hit the deer head on. That could have been devastating to the crew as well. Well, if it was Rudolf, it could have been a mid-air crash.
