yes so you know what is what and how things work so if you break something or replace something you know what you have and what you are doing. the tc3 is very popular and had mayn upgradable parts. i dont think to many ppl have the other.

Not just that but the NTC3 kit comes with a 2 speed, coil over shocks, and the RTR TC3 doesn't. Besides you'll want to upgrad the stock motor and radio on the RTR later on, so why not just do it right the first time.

Whats the Kit/RTR NTC3 sell for? The HN LD3 would have to be better bang for buck.....

SO about double the price of the HN LD3 STD ($155) for around the same features..

Ill take the HN LD3 (I have 2 LD3 Pro and 1 Std) plus parts are so cheap..

(EDIT: The HN LD3 STD is a 2 speed)

The TC3 is a great car, but the RTR @ $299. is a single speed. I got my single speed LD3 RTR for $200. and I think it's every bit as good as a TC3. I also have an electric TC3, so I'm not biased...The Cen cars look O.K. but, I don't know, there's just something about them that doesn't convey the same quality. Maybe it's just me, because I've never actually seen one, so I don't want to put down something I have no experience with, but I know the 2 speed is the same type as on my Hot Bodies Tornado. It says "light weight" 2 speed, and IMO that also means light duty, because the 2 speed in my Tornado is already hurtin' for certain after only a couple dozen tanks...
