Stephanie, the master builder of the house is in charge of checking that both fuselage sides are the same. Seems dad made a good job, she is happy with it.
back to some more serious considerations. here you can see that I made a massive access hatch to the original single engine tank bay on the bottom. this section will contain all electronic stuffs (batteries, receiver and so on). I made a big floor in it full of holes to be able to fit nylon straps and rubber band easy. this floor is also removable (will be fit with screws)
a other pic show you the future bombing bay doors servos tray in the top cabin. the entire cabin will have a balsa floor (also bombing bay ceiling), except for this tray wich is in lite ply. the servos will be mounted laying on the plate and arms will be protruding each side of the tray, actuating the doors (that's why theyre is a gap each side of the tray). because this tray is aproximatly on the CG it will also be a nice place to put yaw gyro
you can also see that I cuted the nose flat, I plan a massive one part balsa or fiberlgass removable nose which will protect the camera mounted on F1 when it's not in use.
My F1 is the original big one (single engine firewall), because I felt that some weight in the nose will be helpfull for balance

Hello Mike, welcome on this thread !! Nice videos You are not the only BTE fan here, let me introduce you the first BTE kit builded in Belgium, my delta vortex catch the atention of the entire belgian RC comunity. BTE is unknown here, but I am a BIG BTE fan !
Because of the incredibly hig quality of the kits and the outstanding performzances of the designs Bruce provide, we have pleasure in the workshop and at the field. BTE kits also let your imagination work and allow you plenty of wonderful modif (like retracts on a DV )

Skycam41, Any fans of Bruce Tharp and his wonderful kits are welcome in this thread. I just finished building an external mounted camera that will catch a ride at some future time on my twin SFK , but for now rides on other planes. I won't post a video until it is from my SFK . I enjoyed your video very much. You seem to have side to side control of the image. Please tell us more about the system you are using. I bought a Super Circuits system over four years ago, and have finally put it to use. Has anyone out there tried mounting an external camera on a boom in front of the airplane and shot video looking back at the front of the plane? There are probably dozens of reasons for not doing this.
My plan is to get back to the SFK twin in October. At the rate Salmonbug is going, he will probably be finished by then.
did you know that I am a so big fan of bruce designs that the double whamy plans are in my collection ? I will build that one one day !! with two dynajet.........
I know I work fast on the twin SFK , but theyre will be a pause of one month soon, I have to finish this one......

A super reaper with retracts - neat! It goes like stink without the wheels hanging down (don't ask how I know this...... ).
I've lost count of the number of BTE kits my dad has built - I have a venture 60 sitting downstairs, myself. I'm still looking forward to seeing my first SFK , or better yet a twin!!
I saw this jet trainer in flight several times and said in myself "damned, maybe with retracts it would have a better look"
Great airplane by the way, perfect jet trainer able to land at walk speed !!!!
this should have been my first jet, but because of my actual lake of funds, it's already sold (I KEEP THE TURBINE) I have to finish it for the buddy who bought it !
