Zpat -> Pro Bro event schedule (12/17/2003 7:52:23 PM)

I see there is an event planned in Houston.
Will there be any others?
I can host an event here in Northwest Ohio if anyone is interested.

Gordo-ProBro -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/18/2003 12:00:29 AM)

There is one scheduled in Indiana, look for Jeff Williams post. It is near the time of the MO event that I'll be going to so Indiana is not happening for me.

You gonna make it to Houston?

Zpat -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/18/2003 12:54:52 PM)

Unfortunatly my job restricts my time off to July only.
Houston is 1300 miles from here. The only way I could do that is fly, and that would be too much of a hassle for me. I don't have a suitcase for my models, nor do I want one.
I like the format of the Profile Brotherhood.
It looks like I'll have to come up with an alternate idea.
Who would be interested in a 3D fly in with a wing span limit of 72" in the Northwest Ohio area around the month of May?
There's only a few people in my club that have any interest.
If I can drum up some support I'll go ahead and do it.

tailspnr -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/18/2003 3:18:35 PM)

I dont think theres any reason why you couldnt schedule a Pro-Bro up in that neck of the woods during mid Summer. Jeff and I are hosting one down here in Louisville in the beggining of June but I think that northern Ohio (which is certainly doable for me) could stand to have an event such as this during that time frame.

So far all of the events have been much further south and you guys have been left to make a long trip or just not come. So youve got my vote for a Pro-Bro.

Gordo-ProBro -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 12:20:50 AM)

Well, if you do it at a time when noone has something going, I'll try to come. My wife always likes a trip to home town.

By the way Zpat, did you get my PM?

Zpat -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 1:08:20 AM)

Gordo,
I answered your PM.
Hopefully the post in this forum will generate some response from the guys in this area.
I know there a few guys in the Piqua area that have some small 3D planes. My experience with this area is a lot of guys have the large scale aerobatic types and there are plenty of events for them around here.
I just like to get together with guys with smaller airplanes and get crazy and not have to dodge the 30 pounders all day.
So all the guys that are familiar with the LARKS field and enjoy 3D pipe up and be heard. 72" wing limit.
If there is enough response, I can get something going.

Pat

YNOT -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 2:41:56 AM)

Z, it sounds like you need to host a I 3D event.

All 3D, all day long.

Contact me if you would like more info.

capthis -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 3:58:28 PM)

Sounds cool, and I would come if I can, but there are some profiles out there with an 80in wingspan. I would drop the wingspan requirment, and just announce it as a pro bro 3-d fly in. At Nashville there were two or three "30" pounders, and I thought they were a nice break from the profiles for a minute. I think as long as they are "3-d" plane who cares how big they are? Besides I might want to bring one of my bigguns. [:D]

Pugsley-RCU -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 6:42:56 PM)

Yeah...

I had fun at the Nashville event with the H9 Cap....until the one wheel on the runway, one wheel off that smashed my prop....

I would like to host an event in Atlanta sometime in April.

Any takers?

PaulSwany -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 6:58:43 PM)

Atlanta is closer that Houston... I'm game!! I could probably get Gator to go as long as we have local football coverage!!

southern_touch9 -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 7:17:04 PM)

Im all about atlanta its less than 2 hours away for me

And I guess Hazlehurst and Chauncy are only 2 minutes up/down the road too. I guess you just drive REAL fast. [:D][;)][:D]

Ahhhh....Im an ol Macon Ga boy here.....know the Cochran short route all too well. As a matter of fact my Mom still lives in Eastman.

I'd love to see a Pro-Bro in Atlanta. It'd give me an opportunity to visit the family....I could just let them think I was coming down to visit them[:D]

And Im with Capthis....just promote this as a Pro-Bro and most of those yuppy "giant scale only" guys wouldnt come anyway. (Notice how I said the Giant Scale ONLY guys). We can certainly tolerate any giant scales that are owned by a Profile Brother.

kevin4hsrcm -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 11:25:18 PM)

Pugsley - Atlanta would be great for me too! I presume Kennesaw, GA. I use to live in Marietta off of Hwy 5 near Hwy 92. I've been wanting an excuse to visit and fly with you guys there! I guess that I'll have to find & bring my gun! :D
Kevin :D

Zpat -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/19/2003 11:49:34 PM)

I can't understand why all the good things going on in the South take so long to come across the River to my part of the woods.
I kind of like the Nopi forum too!

lomcevek1 -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/20/2003 10:10:59 AM)

YeahI know how you feel Zpat.

southern_touch9 -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/20/2003 3:16:39 PM)

Yeah...2 hours from the outskirts of the south side of Atlanta :) . Kennesaw is a different story. Thats a good 2 1/2 hours but would be WELL worth it!! Since Extreme Flight is only a stones throw away I wonder if they would show up with all of their goodies?? :) Ya know sort of like Carden does sometimes at the Blaine Austin Meets (eerrr so I here) :)

JWilliams -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/20/2003 7:32:25 PM)

Tailspnr and I are working on the Derby City pro bro the weekend of June 12 - 13, 2003. I hope many of you can attend it is shaping up to have many prizes/giveaways and a whole lot of 3D flying. Saturday there will be a mix allowed but Sunday is dedicated to 3D, we may even have a little 3D flyoff but maybe not too. We will see how guys feel about that. I want to have music, PA and stuff to hover down into available both days. Jeff Williams

Pugsley-RCU -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/20/2003 10:43:46 PM)

Yup....gotta bring that gun when you visit Kennesaw....

Extreme Flight already said he would donate a bird, and show up in force. Plenty of stick time for everyone.....

Atlanta sounds like a great idea. I'm on my way.

JWilliams -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/26/2003 12:55:16 PM)

I would come to the Atlanta area. Jeff Williams

akahoverit -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (12/26/2003 1:30:01 PM)

Zpat, I'm game, your right down the road from me.

I can make Atlanta also.

wesf5 -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (1/4/2004 4:12:20 AM)

There was this one event in Morgantown, KY that Chris something was trying to get made at his field but he told me that know one showed interest but me so he said that he will probably just put it down for the clubs fly in.

wagas -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (1/4/2004 1:13:17 PM)

Yes,Yes Atlanta Atlanta Atlanta....I'm there if it happens...

Constrictor -> RE: Pro Bro event schedule (1/4/2004 7:35:46 PM)
