I see there is an event planned in Houston.
Will there be any others?
I can host an event here in Northwest Ohio if anyone is interested.

There is one scheduled in Indiana, look for Jeff Williams post. It is near the time of the MO event that I'll be going to so Indiana is not happening for me.

You gonna make it to Houston?

Unfortunatly my job restricts my time off to July only.
Houston is 1300 miles from here. The only way I could do that is fly, and that would be too much of a hassle for me. I don't have a suitcase for my models, nor do I want one.
I like the format of the Profile Brotherhood.
It looks like I'll have to come up with an alternate idea.
Who would be interested in a 3D fly in with a wing span limit of 72" in the Northwest Ohio area around the month of May?
There's only a few people in my club that have any interest.
If I can drum up some support I'll go ahead and do it.

I dont think theres any reason why you couldnt schedule a Pro-Bro up in that neck of the woods during mid Summer. Jeff and I are hosting one down here in Louisville in the beggining of June but I think that northern Ohio (which is certainly doable for me) could stand to have an event such as this during that time frame.

So far all of the events have been much further south and you guys have been left to make a long trip or just not come. So youve got my vote for a Pro-Bro.

Well, if you do it at a time when noone has something going, I'll try to come. My wife always likes a trip to home town.

By the way Zpat, did you get my PM?

Gordo,
I answered your PM.
Hopefully the post in this forum will generate some response from the guys in this area.
I know there a few guys in the Piqua area that have some small 3D planes. My experience with this area is a lot of guys have the large scale aerobatic types and there are plenty of events for them around here.
I just like to get together with guys with smaller airplanes and get crazy and not have to dodge the 30 pounders all day.
So all the guys that are familiar with the LARKS field and enjoy 3D pipe up and be heard. 72" wing limit.
If there is enough response, I can get something going.

Pat

Z, it sounds like you need to host a I 3D event.

All 3D, all day long.

Contact me if you would like more info.

Sounds cool, and I would come if I can, but there are some profiles out there with an 80in wingspan. I would drop the wingspan requirment, and just announce it as a pro bro 3-d fly in. At Nashville there were two or three "30" pounders, and I thought they were a nice break from the profiles for a minute. I think as long as they are "3-d" plane who cares how big they are? Besides I might want to bring one of my bigguns.

Yeah...

I had fun at the Nashville event with the H9 Cap....until the one wheel on the runway, one wheel off that smashed my prop....

And I guess Hazlehurst and Chauncy are only 2 minutes up/down the road too. I guess you just drive REAL fast.

Ahhhh....Im an ol Macon Ga boy here.....know the Cochran short route all too well. As a matter of fact my Mom still lives in Eastman.

I'd love to see a Pro-Bro in Atlanta. It'd give me an opportunity to visit the family....I could just let them think I was coming down to visit them

And Im with Capthis....just promote this as a Pro-Bro and most of those yuppy "giant scale only" guys wouldnt come anyway. (Notice how I said the Giant Scale ONLY guys). We can certainly tolerate any giant scales that are owned by a Profile Brother.

Pugsley - Atlanta would be great for me too! I presume Kennesaw, GA. I use to live in Marietta off of Hwy 5 near Hwy 92. I've been wanting an excuse to visit and fly with you guys there! I guess that I'll have to find & bring my gun!

I can't understand why all the good things going on in the South take so long to come across the River to my part of the woods.
I kind of like the Nopi forum too!
