The fiberglass booms are very good but the body is somewhat thin but I feel it will be OK.

Helokid: Sorry I forgot about the price.
This plane is only worth the price if the buyer is aware BEFORE purchase of the large amount of work required above what is normal.
The seam problem really bothers me. I have never seen anything like. It is because the only paint on the booms and body is the stripes. The remainder is unpainted gel coat white.
There is no excuse for the short nose gear.
These companies need an experienced model airplane builder at the point of manufacture and these type problems would be a thing of the past.

Am still waiting for the Tru Turn spinners, one muffler and a couple other items from my LHS. Other then that, I am ready to go but it has to warm up a lot to venture out.
Got the pics taken today and hope to have them posted tomorrow or as soon as my friend can get to it.

Your're welcome.
Looks like it will be a while before I get to fly it. It is just tooooo cold.
Haven't balanced it yet but will let you know what it takes.
Forget to tell you about the wire from the elevator servo. I ran it thru the horizontal stab, cut a hole in the H-stab where it connects to the boom and ran the wire up the boom into the center section of the wing.

The 337 balanced with 24 ounces of weight placed on top of the front engine mount. May be able to take some off after the first flight. Will let you know. Think I may try to fly tomorrow since it is warming up some.

The Cessna Skymaster has flown, not well but it did fly. Analyzed the sensitive elevator and believe it will require3-6 ounces more weight. The 2 OS-61 FX's were more than enough power and it looks really good in the air. Has a long glide slope, much more than expected, and that was a surprise.

Hello roll on 60
Glad to hear you have flown your sky master today. Will you have to add the weight on the rear or front of the plane. What servo do they recommend on the plane. Do you think the plane will fly on one 61-fx. Can you send some pic's of the plane in full. Hope your next flight go will roll on 60. Thanks. Helokid

The weight will be added to the nose. I now have 24 ounces and will add another 3-6. The elevator servo is a Futaba 3010 and is faster than I am used to. The plane weights in at 15 pounds with the 24 ounces of weight in the nose.

Prior to the second flight, I added another 5 ounces of weight for a total of 29 ounces. (The plane was balanced as prescribed in the instruction manual on the first flight)
In addition, I changed the elevator hook up to a ball joint so I could get about a 45 degree angle from the servo to the control horn rod top. This allowed me to move the control point from the center of the control rod to the top, thus much less sensitive operation.
The second flight went off with out a hitch and the plane flew like a plane instead of a wounded duck. (re first flight) Was very pleased with this flight and the way the plane performed. The plane generated a lot of questions by members at the field. Had decals made to include a plane number for the wing and tail, Cessna logo and Cessna 337 for the wheel pants.
One last thing. The outer wings halves do not fit very tight on the wing tubes, so had to add some tape around the tube to get a better fit. (Andrew if you are listening, this should be fixed.)
Would I buy again, the plane is a real looker and I like good looking planes. Probably would (now that I know how to fix all the problems)but I think the importer should know about each plane imported and the problems that one would encounter and state up front these problems. One could then make an informed decision prior to purchase.
