I have a thunder tiger .91FS. Currently using powermaster premium...I'm getting a lot of oil residue back into the tank. What do you think in your experience is the best castor/synth mix?

Wonder if you are using the Powermaster 4-cycle fuel or the
sport fuel.
The 4-cycle fuel has less oil in it and that may be where the
excess oil is showing up on the plane. Rich settings on the
needle will also cause an excess of oil out of the exhaust. There
will be some oil because of helping to cool the engine and to
be sure enough oil is allowed to penetrate the lower parts of
the engine.

I'm using the 2-stroke Premium blend. I think its 70:30. The issue is "carbonized" "black" blow back into the tank from the muffler pressure fitting. If I fly down to 1/4 tank and empty the tank the remaining fuel in the tank is pitch black. The line from the muffler to the tank is brown and black inside the tubing and is opaque. There is plenty of oil on the wings and it too is grey. We are talking only 3 gallons of fuel on the new engine...all the same type.

The 4 stroke is "burning" the oil. Don't know if its burning the castor or the synth but one of those components is getting burnt up and visibly deposited back into the tank.

I emailed the question to Powermaster as to whether the 4 stroke fuel would be better and/or why but got no response. I know how to adjust the needle so I doubt this is the issue.
